The Lasell College men's soccer team notched another win today in GNAC play as the beat Albertus Magnus College, 2-0.

 
The Lasers' defensive line was the key to the Lasell's success today.  Rocco Mazzaferro (Niskayuna, NY), Sean Fisher (Griswold, CT), Brandon Hanss (Halifax, MA) and Paul Meucci (Vernon, CT) sealed the Falcons out of their end of the field, as well as set up the offense to produce for the Lasers.

Mazzaferro picked up his first assist of the season when he fed sophomore midfielder Steve Petrin (Vernon, CT) who connected with the net to build a 1-0 lead for the Lasers.  Petrin's goal scored right before the half break, at 42:56.

The Lasers second goal was netted by junior midfielder Robert Gonzalez (Palmdale, CA), his first of the season.  Gonzalez was set up by Zach Gagne (Somerset, MA) half way through the second period and completed the scoring for the day.

Junior goalkeeper Julian Dutton (Madison, CT) was called on to make 6 saves in his third shutout of the season for Lasell, while Albertus Magnas' goalie, Gerald O'Connor (Hamden, CT) saved 9 shots on goal for the Falcons.

The Falcons are now 6-4-1 overall, and the Lasers even out at 5-5-0. 

The Lasers play next at Emmanuel College on Wednesday, October 8th.
