The women's cross country team competed in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championships at St. Joseph's College, ME on Saturday. The women finished in 8th place with Emily Varga, leading the women with a time of 32:52.3, placing her in 37th place overall. Other finishers for the women included Hanna Babek at 35:35.4, Adrianna Tassone at 36:46.6, Effie Fotos at 38:35.9 and Savannah Teixeira at 45:01.5.
After the meet, Adiranna Tassone had this to say about the race, " I think that everyone today really put in hard work to achieve their times. This course was definitely a tough one but the adrenaline of this being not only our last meet but GNACs pushed us to succeed. The support we all gave each other on and off the course was amazing, and definitely fueled me to keep going."
The team will wrap up the season at the New England Regionals on 11/12 at Bowdoin College.
