WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (10/5/13) - The Lasell College women's cross country team took second place at the University of St. Joseph Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Lasers used a total team effort, placing five runners in the meet's top 18.

Jamie Russo led the way for Lasell, finishing sixth in a time of 21:58. Russo was followed by Jessica Smith in ninth place in 22:45, Rachel Knuth in tenth in 22:47, and Solange Carpenter in 12th in 23:32. Elizabeth Bennett placed 18th in a time of 26:18, Alaina Eldredge was 20th in 26:56 and Jessica Clark was 26th in a time of 29:28.

Lasell will travel to Standish, Maine next Saturday October 12th for the Running Monks Invitational at St. Joseph's College of Maine.
