WVB: Medini, McCool, and Katz Each named to All-GNAC Teams

Newton, MA -  On Tuesday the GNAC announced their end of the year women's volleyball awards, and four members from the GNAC conference championship Lasell team were honored.

Juliana Medini, who was also previously named the GNAC Tournement MVP, was named to the All-Conference First team. She recorded a conference high 121 blocks on the season, 24 more than the second most person. That also ranked her 10th in the country. She now has 305 career blocks, the most in school history. She also got it done on the offensive side of things, ranking second on the team with 205 kills, good for 21st in the conference. Her .313 hitting percentage ranked second in the conference.

Joining Medini on the first team was McKenna McCool. McCool ranked fifth in the conference with 303 kills. She now has 846 career kills, the fifth most in school history.Her .283 hitting percentage was the fourth best in the conference. She also tallied 151 digs. McCool also had a conference high 80 service aces.

Sydney Katz was named to the third team. Katz ran the Laser offense, collecting 610 set assists, the third most in the conference. She has 940 career set assists, good for the sixth most in school history. She also had 206 digs on the season.

Rounding out the Laser's accolades, Emily Cerasani was named to the conference's All-Sportsmanship team.
