WVB: Lasers End Regular Season with Tri-Match Sweep: Set Program Record for Wins

Franklin, MA - The Lasell Lasers Women's Volleyball team swept the tri-match hosted by Dean on Saturday, defeating the hosts and Norwich 3-0 each. The Lasers end the regular season 24-4 overall and 12-3 in GNAC play.

Match One vs Dean

The Lasers defeated Dean in straight sets by a score of 25-19, 25-13, 25-20. The Lasers were led on offense and defense by McKenna McCool who had 14 kills and 14 digs, both team highs. Maddie Caro also had 14 digs. It was a well rounded attack though, as six different Lasers had at least four kills, as Emily VanHouten (9), Juliana Medini (7), Kyra Paris (5), Camila Lopez (4), and Victoria Pariseault (4) joined in on the fun.Sydney Katz had 23 set assists while Saige Cambonga-Meyers had 13.

Match Two vs Norwich

In their second match of the day, it was the same story as the first for the Lasers, winning again in straight sets, this time by a score of 25-11, 25-19, 25-21. McCool would once again have an impact in both aspects of the game, putting up seven kills and nine digs. Medini was right behind her with six kills. Caro had her second consecutive double-digit dig game of the day with 12. Cambonga-Meyers was the middleman, posting 21 set assists. 

With the wins today, the team passed the 2004 team's record for wins in a season of 22.
