WVB: Lasell has win streak stopped in GNAC loss at Norwich

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Lasell University women's volleyball team had its six-match winning streak stopped Wednesday evening with a 3-0 loss to Norwich University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match inside Andrews Hall.

The Cadets won by set scores of 25-18, 27-25, and 25-18. The outcome drops Lasell to 12-6 overall and 4-2 in conference matches, while Norwich improves to 8-6 overall and 2-4 in GNAC play.

Freshmen Sabine Milton (San Mateo, Calif.) and Tori Scambray (Brea, Calif.) combined to hit 24 kills to lead the Lasers. Milton smashed 14 kills and also made a team-high four blocks, while Scambray pounded 10 kills and added seven digs. Sophomore Isabelle Babcock (York, Maine) made a team-high 10 digs, and senior Jess Langan (Burnt Hills, N.H.) finished with 25 set assists.

Junior Ana Lopez (Laredo, Texas) and senior Kathryn Farnum (North Andover, Mass.) led the winners with seven kills apiece, and senior Addison Hall (Apple Valley, Calif.) added six winners. Sophomore Laura Farnum (North Andover, Mass.) posted a team-high nine digs, and junior Sarah Farnum (North Andover, Mass.) contributed 22 assists.

The Lasers will get right back into action on Thursday evening with a non-conference match at Eastern Nazarene College at 7 p.m. Norwich will join Dean College in a GNAC tri-match this Saturday at Albertus Magnus College.
