Game 1 Wentworth (3-2)

The Lasers got off to a hot start in the first set winning the first five points and ten of the first twelve. Lasell held a 17-13 lead before the Leopards scored five unanswered to take the lead. The Lasers tied the game at 25 following a kill by freshman Tori Scambray (Brea, Calif.). Only two extra points were needed for the Lasers to take the first set, following a kill by freshman Sabine Milton (San Mateo, Calif.), and then a block by senior Meg Roberts (Newington, Conn.).

The Lasers had the lead start to finish in set two scoring 15 of the first 18 points and 20 of the first 28. Wentworth stormed back to make it a three-point game at 23-20 before kills by freshman Juliana Medini (Roxbury, N.J.) and Scambray sealed the second set in favor of the Lasers.

The third set started out neck and neck between the two sides with the Leopards only holding a two-point lead after 18 points had been played. Wentworth took control from that point on only allowing the Lasers to score seven more points in a set winning effort.

Set four saw the Leopards get out in front early and at one point holding an 11-point lead. They kept the Lasers from scoring in bunches while Wentworth scored multiple points in a row on many occasions to comfortably take the set.

The decisive fifth set saw the Leopards jump out to an early four point before the Lasers scored six of the next seven points to give them a one-point advantage. The game remained tight with the final two game winning points coming off kills by Milton.

Senior Jess Langan (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) lead the game with 40 assists while Scambray and Milton were tops in kills with 13 and 12 respectively. Junior Riley Waggoner (Simi Valley, Calif.) led the met in kills with 18.

Game 2 Worcester State (3-2)

The Lancers got off to a good start in the first set holding a three-point lead before a seven-point run by the Lasers led by kills from Scambray and Medini. The Lancers had the answer with a run of their own scoring six straight and nine of ten points to take the lead back. The game was tight the rest of the way until Worcester State scored the last three points, two of which came off kills by junior Camryn Burgio (Quincy, Mass.) and sophomore Maeve Cadogan (Wilmington, Mass.).

The second set got off to a similar start to the first with the Lancers coming out of the gates strong scoring 10 of the first 13 points. From here they never let the Lasers back into the set. Although the Lasers scored six of seven points late, they still fell 25-17.
