Bridgewater, MA - The Lasell Women's Track and Field team competed in their first outdoor competition of the season on Saturday, competing at the Bridgewater State Bears Invitational.

The star of the day for the Lasers was Riley Silvia, as she finished in 5th place in both the Shot Put and the Discus with marks of 9.27m and 27.13m. The throwing events proved to be an area of success for the Lasers as Emily Franzik placed 8th in the discus with a mark of 26.31m. She also produced a mark of 21.96 in the Javelin. Mikayla Bokis collected a PR with a 8.20m throw in the Shot Put.

Outside of throwing events, Emily VanHouten finished 9th in the High Jump with a mark of 1.45m.
