Boston, MA - The Lasell Women's Track and Field team competed for the second time on the season Saturday, competing at the 2022 Beacon Invitational. Schools across all divisions competed including DI, DII, and DIII schools.

The star of the day for the Lasers was Sinclair Samuels, as she set two school records. The first record was in the Shotput, where Samuels posted a mark of 10.99m, besting the previous record of 10.88m. Her performance was good for 7th. She also set the record for Weight Throw, posting a mark of 9.45m. The previous record was 9.34m. Both records had stood for nearly nine years, as Chelsea Zeig had held each of them since early 2014.

Also having a good day was Damali Waugh. Waugh posted times of 8.74s and 31.33s in the 60m and 200m dashes respectively. But she had even better success in the triple jump and shotput, as she posted new personal records in each, with 8.82m in the triple jump, and 8.10m in the shotput. Another Laser set a new PR as Emily Varga posted a 7:09.19 in the one-mile run.
