Women's Track & Field: Lasers break two personal records at Wheaton Invitational

NORTON, Mass. - Freshman Hanna Babek tallied a flat track personal record in the finals of the 200-meter dash (28.57) and sophomore Caitlyn Geary clocked a career-best mark during the finals of the shot put (8.04 meters) for the Lasell University women's indoor track & field team Saturday at the Wheaton College Invitational.

Babek finished 13th overall out of 27 in the 200 meters. She also covered the 60-meter dash in a time of 8.60 during the finals of the event. 

Senior Elise Stanbury was Lasell's top-perfomer in the finals of the shot put and placed 11th overall, tallying a distance of 8.70. Freshman Taylor Sprague finished two spots behind Stanbury with a mark of 8.49.

The Lasers will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 26, and Sunday, Feb. 27, when they compete in the New England Division III Championship at Colby-Sawyer in New London, New Hampshire.
