Provenzano and DeOliveira named to All-New England Second Team

Newton, Mass. – Graduate Student Korynne Provenzano (Stratham, N.H.) and freshman Alyssa DeOliveira (East Providence, R.I.) were both named to the All-New England second team Monday, by the United Soccer Coaches.

This was the first time since the 2018 season that the Lasell University women's soccer team has had anyone named to the All-New England team.

Both Provenzano and DeOliveira are first-time selections after both being named First Team All-Conference with DeOliveira also being named Rookie of the Year.

A 5-6 defender, four-year starter and four-time All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selection including twice on the First Team, Provenzano was an anchor on the Lasell backline. She helped the Lasers secure 13 shutouts out of 19 games and added some on the offensive end scoring two goals. For her career, Provenzano has started 74 out of 75 games, scoring five goals and adding two assists.

A 5-4 forward, First Team All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selection, and Rookie of the Year winner, DeOliveira burst onto the scene in her first season. She is the first Lasell freshman to be named to the All-New England team. She topped the GNAC with 18 goals and averaged more than a goal per game played. Her 18 goals put her in the top 10 in goals in a season in Lasell history. Her game-winning goals in a season ranks second in Lasell history with eight.

Lasell finished the year 13-5 under Vito La Francesca in his 15th season and finished second in the GNAC with a 11-2 mark. The Lasers defeated seventh-seeded Regis College in the Quarterfinal and third-seeded Saint Joseph's College Maine in the semifinal, before losing to top-seeded Johnson & Wales in the GNAC championship.
