Newton Mass. – Freshman Priscilla Martinelli (Plymouth, Mass.) grabbed Rookie of the Week honors from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for her performance last week.

Martinelli scored two goals and added one assist in a 2-0 week for Lasell. She scored one goal and assisted on another in the 9-0 GNAC midweek victory over Rivier. In the weekend GNAC match against Saint Joseph's College she scored the game winning goal in double overtime.

She is tied for eighth in the GNAC in goals with three and she is tied for second in the GNAC in assists with four.

Martinelli and the Lasers women's soccer team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 6, when they play host to fellow GNAC team Albertus Magnus. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
