Babson Park, Mass. – The Lasell University Lasers women's soccer team took on the Babson College Beavers Monday afternoon, falling 2-0 in a non-conference battle at Hartwell-Rogers Field.

Sophomore Kyli Swann (Queen Creek, Ariz.) made her first career start in net for the Lasers making five saves.

Babson took the lead in the 44^th minute when senior Sydney McLaughlin (Sherborn, Mass.) converted a penalty kick.

The Beavers doubled their tally in the 69^th minute senior Julianna Abrams (Pace, Fla.) slide a pass through the Lasell back line to McLaughlin, who took a tough and drilled a left-footed shot past a charging Swann.

The Lasers were outshot 18-4 for the game and were edged 8-2 in the corner battle.

The Lasers are back in action on Saturday, September 11^th when they travel to Emmanuel to take on the Saints at 12:00 p.m.
