NEWTON, Mass. (9/17/13) - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference recognized Lasell College freshmen Erin Smith (Gorham, Maine) as the conference's rookie of the week in women's soccer. The freshmen midfielder helped the Lasers to a 1-1 week.

Smith scored the Lasers first goal in a victory over Anna Maria College, and added an assist later in the contest finishing with three points on the week. Smith provided good link-up play along the flank for the Lasers, helping create a number of chances in their 6-0 victory over the AMCats.

Smith now has five points in six games with a total of two goals and one assist for the year.
