WLax: Lasers Fall on Road to Simmons

Brighton, MA - The Lasell Lasers fell to Simmons Sharks by a final score of 16-1 on Saturday. The Lasers are now 2-3 on the season and 2-1 in GNAC play. The Sharks are now 4-1 and 2-0.

The Sharks opened the game by scoring eight goals in the first quarter. They then scored three in the second to take an 11-0 lead at halftime. After five more goals in the third, the Sharks led 16-0 after three.

The Lasers kept fighting though, and won the fourth quarter 1-0 when Emily Chapdelaine scored with a minute remaining in the game. It was her 12th goal of the season.

Teresa Kessner led the team with two draw controls, while Chapdelaine led with two ground balls. Sam Jones had the only caused turnover for the Lasers in the game. Goalie Joy Sayah made 18 saves.

Up Next - The Lasers will look to bounce back when they return to host a home match against USJ on Wednesday, March 22nd at 5pm.
