MXC: Lasers compete at Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup in New Hampshire

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Lasell University men's cross country team was back on course Saturday at the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup, hosted by Franklin Pierce University at the New Hampshire State Fairgrounds.

Junior Zach Kirsch (Winsted, Conn.) was the top finisher for the Lasers, placing 57th out of 89 runners. He ran the 8K course in a time of 31:50, an average of 6:24 per mile. Senior Joan Guzman (Nantucket, Mass.) was right behind, placing 59th in a time of 32:08 (6:28 pace).

NCAA Division II schools Franklin Pierce (17) and Saint Anselm College (54) were the top two schools, followed by Bridgewater State University (110), Norwich University (124), Regis College (157), NHTI (176), Emmanuel College (179), Dean College (21), and Post (237). Lasell did not post a team score.

The Lasers are off next weekend before running their final regular-season race on Saturday, October 16, at the Suffolk University Invitational in Franklin Park in Boston.
