Men's Cross Country Places 3rd at GNAC Championships

STANDISH, Maine (10/31/15) – The Lasell College men's cross country team finished 3rd overall with 84 points in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship race on Saturday afternoon at Saint Joseph's College of Maine. 

Placing first for the Lasers and 15th overall was senior Jeremy Shriber (Monroe Valley, N.Y.) finishing at 29:43 – a personal record for the veteran on the Monks' course. Sophomore Nick Garifalos (Spotswood, N.J.) finished just behind Shriber at 29:50, while freshman Jeremy Phelps rounded out the pack at 30:13.

Freshman Ryan Dalaba (North Granville, N.Y.) took third for the Lasers at 30:47 shaving off 1:26 from his last showing on the Monks' territory. Freshman Kyle Vonick also improved from his last race at SJC, and clocked in at 31:16. Freshman Cameron Wiewel and senior Patrick Sponzo (Windsor, Conn.) trickled in next, both finishing the course in 31:21.
