STANDISH, Maine (10/12/13) - The Lasell College men's cross country team got a pair of top 20 finishes from Alex Weselcouch and Cameron Wiewel on Saturday at the St. Joseph's College of Maine Running Monks Invitational. Weselcouch crossed the finish line seventh overall and Wiewel placed 18th in the race. As a team Lasell finished 10th in the 12 team field.

The 8K course will be the same one the Lasers will cover in three weeks at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship meet. Weselcouch completed the race in a time of 28:49 besting his time from a year ago by a 48 seconds. Wiewel finished with a time of 29:39, running three minutes and 59 seconds faster than he did in the same meet a year ago.

Priamo Compres, Lou Saporta and Tyler Schwabe were next across the line for Lasell, finishing 72nd, 78th and 79th respectively. Compres finished with a time of 34:17, Saporta completed the race in 36:13 and Schwabe in 38:07.
