Men's Cross Country Has Quality Showing at Shriner's Invitational

Newton, Mass. - The Lasell College men's cross country team put together a solid showing in the UMass-Dartmouth Shriner's Invitational, competing against 38 other teams. Lasell placed 34th as a team, and were led by freshman Alex Wesselcouch, who's time of 27:02 set a new school record for the 8K distance.The top five placing teams in the race were MIT, Springfield, WPI, Coast Guard and Brandeis.

Wesselcouch finished 92 overall in a field of 293 runners to pace the team, Patrick Sponzo was second for the Lasers in 29:39, captain Kyle Northrop was the third Lasell man across the line in a time of 31:17. Conor Devlin ran a 31:33, and was joined by Isaac Montoya in 32:46 and Tyler Schwabe in 37:15 to help the Lasers.
