Franklin, MA - The Lasers headed to Dean College for a tri-match against Dean and Rivier, taking home two wins on the day. 

Lasell vs Dean

The Lasers took off in the first set, gaining an early lead and never looking back. Lasell went up 1-0 winning the first set 25-15. The second set went in a similar fashion, ending with another Lasell win, 24-16. The Lasers offense was far too much for the Bulldogs, gaining another early lead and winning the match 25-13. 

Ben Villa lead the Lasers offensively with a career high 8 kills, followed by Payten Walter with 7. Bret Debelser collected 20 assists on the match. 

Lasell vs Rivier 

The Lasers and Raiders went point for point all the way up to the 20th point of the match, Lasell took the next two points gaining a critical lead. An ace from Jan Baranowski and error from Rivier gave the Lasers the first set. 

Lasell took an early lead in the second, which Rivier quickly evened out. The two teams remained neck and neck up to the end, Lasers taking the second set 25-21. The third set went on in similar fashion, with the two teams exchanging back and forth points. Rivier took the third set with a 25-22 score. With a 10-10 score in the third, the Lasers went on a five point run, gaining the lead. Lasells offense continued the momentum and took the set 25-15, winning the match 3-1. 

Brenden Joyce led the Lasers with a whopping 15 kills and and eight digs. Jesus Garcia collected 45 assists on the match.
