Newton, MA - The Lasell Lasers defeated MIT on Wednesday in straight sets by a final score of 25-21, 25-22, 25-16. The Lasers are now 3-3 on the season while MIT is 1-4.

The Lasers were led by Theo Zaharewicz, who had team highs in both kills (11) and blocks (4). He also added four digs. Right behind him was Brenden Joyce, who had 10 kills and five digs. Jordan Shinaut, a pre-season all-american, had nine kills. Setting up all of those kills was the usual Jesus Garcia, as he added 30 kills to his total, giving him 2,793 for his career.

Up next - The Lasers will head to Springfield, MA on Friday where they will take on Endicott in the first round of the Springfield Classic. That match will be at 8pm.
