MTrack: Men Set Five Personal Records

Springfield, MA - The Men's Track and Field Team participated in the Springfield Massasoit Classic on Saturday. As a team they set five personal records, and three additional season bests.

On the track, Jordan Woodley set a PR in the 60m Hurdles prelim race with a time of 9.95s. He would then post a 10.33s in the finals, placing him in seventh for the event. He was also the third leg of the Men's 4x400m team that placed fifth. His split was 57.54s.

Joining Woodley in that 4x400m race was Nicholas Fernandes, who ran the second leg in 58.61s. He also set a PR in the 60m Dash with 8.16s. Woodley and Fernandes were joined by Kadeem Ambroise and Michael Curran in the 4x400m relay, and combined for a time of 3:49.63.

Rounding out a day filled with success on the track was Spencer Villinski. He set a season best in the 60m Hurdles with 10.0s, and then followed that up in the finals with a time of 10.02s, good for fifth. He also ran a time of 60.99s in the 400m.

In the field, Dillon Ramirez set two new PRs with a mark of 4.74m in the Long Jump, and 1.50m in the High Jump. His high jump mark was good for 5th in the event.

Setting two season bests was Zachary Kirsch, as he placed fifth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 12.20m, and put up a mark of 5.59m in the Long Jump.

In the throwing events, Connor Parker set a PR in the Weight Throw with 9.80m, and put up a mark of 8.42m in the Shotput.

Up Next - The men will participate in two events next week, as the track athletes go to the Boston University Terrier Classic on Friday, January 27th, and the field athletes go to the UMass Boston/UMass Lowell Invite #2 on Saturday the 28th.
