Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field: Three Lasers earn GNAC weekly honors

WINTHROP, Mass. - Junior Zachary Kirsch and senior Elise Stanbury were named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Field Athlete of the Week, respectively, while freshman Max Corson earned Men's Rookie of the Week recognition Monday.

Kirsch recorded a school record of 12.89 meters in the finals of the triple jump during the John Thomas Terrier Classic Sunday at Boston University. He also suited up for the finals of the long jump, compiling a mark of 5.51.

Corson competed in three events for Lasell and was the team's top-finisher in the long jump (5.59). The Peabody, Massachusetts, native was the Lasers' second-place performer in the finals of the 60 (7.58) and 200 meters (24.45). 

Stanbury tallied a mark of 8.68 in the finals of the shot put Friday during the John Thomas Terrier Classic at BU.

The Lasell University men's and women's indoor track & field teams will compete in the GNAC Indoor Championship at BU on Sunday, Feb. 13.
