Paxton Mass. – The Lasell University Lasers men's soccer team fell to Anna Maria College, 2-1, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match Saturday at Carposo Field.

The Lasers fall to 2-13-1 overall and 1-9-1 in the GNAC. Anna Maria improves to 3-11-2 on the year and 3-8 in the GNAC.

Anna Maria got on the board first in the ninth minute when freshman Iweka Iweka (Westborough, Mass.) found fellow classmate Rubelsi Moran (Holden, Mass.) on a short pass in front of the net.

In the 25th minute Anna Maria doubled their lead. Senior Nick Lawrence (North Attleboro, Mass.) scored off a put-back with the assist going to junior Hezekiah Adeyeye (Woonsocket, R.I.).

In the 69th minute, the Lasers answered as junior Matt Nogueira (Ludlow, Mass.) took a free kick and shot a laser that hooked into the upper-right corner of the net. 

The Lasers will be back in action on Tuesday, October 26, for the season finale when they play host to Albertus Magnus. The GNAC clash is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
