GNAC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL ANNOUNCED 09-29-08

Six Lasers made the GNAC's weekly honor roll for the week ending September 29th.

Chris JOhnson.JPG Three cross country athletes received recognition, starting with Chris Johnson (right), a senior captain from Gloucester, Massachuetts.  Johnson finished third in the Rivier College Invitational, with a time of 30:09 and has been the top finisher for the men's cross country team at every meet so far this season.

Meghan Missett.JPG Kayla McKenna.JPG Kayla McKenna (inset, left), a senior captain from Warwick, Rhode Island, has also finished first for the Lasers' women's cross country team at every event this year.  McKenna ran her best time in 2008 of 21:54 at the Rivier Invitational and took over a minute off her previous race time.  McKenna was the 3rd place finisher overall.

The final cross country athlete to be honored was Meghan Missett, who took nearly two minutes off her previous race time and came in 6th overall at Rivier.  Missett (far left), a freshman from Lowell, Massachusetts, has been the second Laser to cross the finish line at the past two meets for the women.

Women's volleyball recognized freshman Danielle Drapeau this week for her 16 kills, 6 service aces, 15 digs, and 5 blocks on the court.  A 5'10" freshman, from Biddeford, Maine, Drapeau (left) is leading the team in kills with 66 this season.

Cronin MS.JPG Julian Dutton.JPG The final two Laser athletes to be named are both members of the men's soccer team.  A 6'0" junior from Madison, Connecticut,  Julian Dutton (inset, right) went 2-0 this week, and 1-0 in conference play.  Dutton recorded a shutout against Lesley University, collecting 7 saves, and picked up 6 additional saves in a GNAC game against Emerson.

Kyle Cronin (far right), a 5'9" freshman from Weymouth, Massachusetts, produced a goal and an assist again Lesley and another assist in the Emerson game to help the Lasers remain undefeated in the GNAC.
