MLax: Lasers Take Home All-Conference Awards

With the conclusion of the 2024 season, the Men's Lacrosse team took home six all-conference selections. The team finished with an overall record of 11-7 and 8-2 in conference play. 

Mangus Leonard (D) got the nod for first-team all-conference. Leonard is a two time GNAC Defensive Player of the Year honoree, having won the award the past two years. In addition to the two DPOY awards and two GNAC first teams, Leonard was also named to the GNAC's third team in 2022. Leonard started and played in all 18 games for the Lasers, finishing this season with 25 ground balls, and 11 caused turnovers. 

Francis Pino (LSM) also was selected to the GNAC All-Conference first team. This is Pino's second year in a row making All-Conference honors, earning a spot on second-team in 2023. Pino lead the team this year with 31 caused turnovers, and 61 ground balls (tied for 6th overall in the GNAC). 

Midfielder Anthony DeRosa and attacker Landon Reyes took home second-team honors. Reyes has previously been selected to second and third team in his career with the Lasers. Reyes lead the Lasers offensively with 31 goals and 20 assists on the season. This year marks DeRosa's first nod to an All-Conference team, contributing 24 goals and 19 assists on the year. 

Freshman Colin LeBaron (A) and Justin Martin (M) were both placed onto the GNAC All-Rookie team. LeBaron was second overall in goals on the Lasell squad, scoring 27 goals and 6 assists in his rookie season. Martin lead the Lasers with 32 assists and 13 goals. 

Austin Wenzel (A) was selected to the GNAC Sportsmanship team for the Lasers. 

Following post-season play Finnegan McCormack and Michael Catalano were both selected for the All-Tournament team. McCormack tallied six goals during the playoffs, while Catalano had 31 saves in net.
