MLax: Lasers Topple Saints 13-8

Newton, MA. - The Lasell University Lasers extend their win streak to three as they beat the Emmanuel College Saints 13-8 on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Grellier Field.

Finnegan McCormack opened up the scoring at the 12th minute mark when he found the back of the net off a pass from Anthony DeRosa. A minute later, Cooper Melhorn would tie the game for the Emmanuel. DeRosa would add another assist a minute later as Patrick Mulhern fired one in to give the Lasers the lead. Jason Martin would increase the lead to two, with an assist to Landon Reyes. Sanzio DiGesualdo would get one back for Emmanuel, courtesy of Ryan Etzo to make it 3-2 going into the second quarter.

Emmanuel would tie the game with a goal 61 seconds into the second quarter. Lasell answered 28 seconds later with a goal from Reyes, assisted by Martin. Emmanuel would score three goals in a row to regain the lead. DeRosa would get his third assist in the game as Adam Haytayan found the back of the net to level the game going into halftime.

Samuel Yan and Ryan Etzo would score to give Emmanuel a two goal lead. Just before the end of the third quarter, DeRosa slotted one into the net to bring Lasell within one going into the fourth quarter. 

Lasell would dominate the fourth quarter as Mulhern (x2), Will McCarthy, Reyes, and Finnegan McCormack all scored goals. During that run, McCormack, Ryan Stone, Mulhern, and Martin all were credited with an assist.
