MLax: Lasers Taken Down by Hawks

West Hartford, CT - The Lasell Men's Lacrosse team fell to the Hartford Hawks on Saturday by a final score of 20-7. The Lasers are now 1-4 on the season, while the Hawks are 2-1.

This Hawks grabbed an early lead in this one, and never really looked back, scoring the first two goals of the game. After Matthew Carbone cut the lead in half, the Hawks scored two more. Ryan Stone closed out the scoring in the first quarter with a goal to make it 4-2.Hartford would outscore the Lasers 5-3 in the second quarter, with the Lasers getting goals from Landon Reyes and Finnegan McCormack. Reyes would score twice in the quarter, but the Lasers trailed 9-5 at the break. The second half was all Hawks, as they outscored the Lasers 11-2. Anthony DeRosa scored in the third for Lasell, while Adam Haytayan scored in the fourth.

Casey Hart led the team with two caused turnovers, while Carbone led the way with five ground balls. Michael Catalano made 14 saves in net.

Up Next - The Lasers will kick off conference play on Wednesday when they travel to Rivier for a 6pm start.
