Men's Lacrosse: Jordan Hines '22 named to 2022 NEILA Division III All-Academic team

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - Jordan Hines '22 of the Lasell University men's lacrosse program received a prestigious honor on Tuesday, June 21, as he was named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Division III All-Academic team.

A record 223 student-athletes were selected to the 2022 NEILA All-Academic teams. Overall, 55 different colleges and universities were represented across all three divisions.

Members of the teams are nominated by head coaches in Division I, II and II, and are comprised of student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career. Nominees must have senior or graduate student standing, a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale and be an impact player for their team.

Hines took home Lasell's 2022 Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. The honor is presented annually to one male and female student-athlete who achieved the highest cumulative GPA in their career at Lasell. The recipient must have been a member of their intercollegiate athletic team for their entire career.

Hines was a four-year member of the men's lacrosse team and has maintained a 3.924 GPA. He tallied 24 goals and 10 assists this past season for a Lasers' team that went 9-1 in the GNAC, earned the second seed in the tournament, won two playoff games and advanced to the GNAC championship game. Hines is planning on attending graduate school at Sacred Heart in Fairfield, Connecticut, and wants to study exercise and sport science.
