Men's Lacrosse: Alex Beauchemin named GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. - After stopping 14-of-17 shots for a .824 save percentage during a 6-3 triumph at Saint Joseph (Conn.) Saturday, senior Alex Beauchemin of the Lasell University men's lacrosse team earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week accolades Monday.

Beauchemin earned his first win of the season, stopping 10-of-13 shots for a .769 save percentage during an 11-3 win over Eastern Connecticut State Wednesday at Grellier Field. The Westfield, Massachusetts, native has gone 28-10 in his four-year Laser career, resulting in a .737 win percentage.

Beauchemin has earned the conference's Goalkeeper of the Week honor five times and is also a one-time winner of the Rookie of the Week award.

The Lasers will compete against GNAC-rival Dean Wednesday at 4 p.m. on Grellier Field.
