Nashua, NH - The Lasell Men's Basketball team won their fifth straight game on Wednesday, defeating Rivier by a final score of 74-65. The Lasers now stand at 12-6 on the season and 6-1 in GNAC play, while the Raiders are now 12-6 and 4-4.

The Lasers struggled early, and found themselves trailing by as many as 10 in the first 10 minutes of the game. But back to back three pointers from Conan McCusker quickly cut the deficet to just four. The Raiders would build their lead back up, this time to 11, and eventually lead 43-34 at halftime.

The second half was a different story for the Lasers, as they used an 11-0 run to take a 51-50 lead eight minutes into the half. The two teams would trade the lead a couple of times, before the Lasers ultimately grabbed control, ending the game on a 6-0 run to win 74-65.

Che Hanks was the leading scorer for the Lasers, scoring a career high 28 points. He has now scored at least 16 points in four of his last five games. The only other double-digit scorer was Marcus Lewis, as he scored 11. The Lasers got a good amount of bench scoring in the form of Conan McCusker (9), Andy Madesko (7), and Greg Farrow (6). Lewis came up one rebound short of a double-double, grabbing nine.

Up Next - The Lasers will host Anna Maria at 4pm on Saturday.
