Newton, MA — The Lasell University Lasers won their third consecutive game on Thursday night, defeating the Eastern Nazarene College Lions, 78-70. The win improved the Lasers record to 3-1 on the season. Meanwhile the loss drops ENC to 1-3.

Both sides traded blows for the entire first half, the largest lead being just seven held by the Lasers after an emphatic jam from junior Marcus Lewis.

ENC jumped out to a ten-point lead early in the second half. But the Lasers were able to climb back in it with some big buckets from Lewis, junior Conan McCusker, and freshman Andy Medesko. Medesko was huge down the stretch for the Lasers, scoring ten of his 14 points in the final ten minutes.

Lewis led the Lasers offensively with 19 points. Trailing him was McCusker (18), and junior Greg Farrow (12). Lewis also grabbed eight rebounds, and Medesko logged his second double double, tallying 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Up Next – The Lasers stay at home on Monday night at 7 pm to face off against the Wentworth Leopards.
