NEWTON, Mass. (12/10/13) - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference named Lasell College sophomore Clyde Niba as the Player of the Week. Niba helped the Lasers to a 2-1 week as they picked up a pair of GNAC victories. The sophomore forward averaged 27.7 ppg for the week, while also pulling down 8.7 rebounds per outing and adding 1.7 steals per contest.

Niba shot 63% from the field and 67% from three point territory. He scored 24 points in 25 minutes of action in a 91-70 victory over Norwich, then scored 26 points in the Lasers loss to Johnson and Wales. He finished up the week with a career-high 33 point, 14 rebound performance in an 82-66 victory over Emmanuel College. Niba's impressive shooting performances included going 12-18 from three point land in the three contests.
