Milestone Night for Guitian

Jose Guitian (Miami, FL) scored his 1,500th point on January 22nd in a 79-70 win over Keene State College.  Guitian netted his milestone points on an uncontested layup midway through the first half, then went on to score a game high 26 points and rip down 18 rebounds.

Guitian is the third athlete in Lasell College history to hit the 1,500 point marker.  After the Keene State contest, Guitian is just 65 points away from setting the Lasell College all-time career points record, currently held by Jaime Crawford who scored 1,584 career points.

Guitian's accolades continue to grow as the 6'10" senior captain continually proves himself to be the total package.  The second leading scorer in the league, averaging 22.2 points per game, and the leading rebounder, with 12.2 boards per game, and first in blocks with 2.1 per game, Guitian also is in the top ten for assists, field goal percentage, assist/turnover ratio, 3-point field goals, and free throw percentage.

Nationally, Guitian ranks in the top ten for rebounds per game, the top twenty-five in scoring, and is 52nd in blocked shots per game.
