FH: Lasell drops non-conference game to Ramapo

Mahwah, NJ-  Senior Victoria Docherty (Newton, N.J.) scored two goals and added one assist in Saturday afternoon to lead Ramapo College to a 4-0 victory over Lasell University in a non-conference field hockey game at the Athletic Center Turf Field.

 

The first goal in the game came in their first quarter when Maggie Farrell scored her first goal of the season at the 6:38 mark. The goal was assisted by Clare Nugent and Victoria Docherty.

 

The Roadrunners would score 3 minutes later when Victoria Chavez put one through the back of the net. The goal was assisted by Maggie Farrell and Clare Nugent.

 

At Half the score was 2-0 in favor of Ramapo.

 

In the third quarter, Ramapo would score two more goals within 37 seconds, both by Victoria Docherty to make it 4-0 in favor of the Roadrunners. The third goal was assisted by Mariah Tovar while the fourth goal was assisted by Maggie Farrell and Mariah Tovar.

 

The Laser goalies finished up with 19 saves. Four by Courtney Tello and fourteen by Abby Boudreau. For the Roadrunners, Michelle Kukan committed two saves while Erika Roura committed one save.

 

Lasell is home Thursday when they host Elms College at Grellier Field at 4 p.m. Ramapo will play host to Albertus Magnus College Monday at 12 p.m.
