FH: Former Dean College Head Coach Jessica Paulin named Head Coach of the Lasers

Newton, Mass. – The Lasell University athletic department is pleased to announce that Jessica Paulin has been named head field hockey coach, effective immediately.

Paulin comes over from Dean College where she was the head field hockey coach and head women's lacrosse coach. Before her time at Dean, she was an assistant coach under former head coach Cait Connolly for the Lasers and an assistant at Mount Ida College where she was responsible for offensive strategy, goalkeeper training, and film breakdown.

Along with her coaching experience at the collegiate level, she is the Director of Field Hockey at Sluggers Academy for the Metrowest Storm.

"I am thrilled to join the Lasell field hockey program and the Lasell university community," said Paulin. "I look forward to bring my passion and knowledge to this team.

"I am excited to work under director of athletics Kristy Walter at such an incredible institution," she added. "This is an opportunity with big shoes to fill, and I look forward to taking the reins of the program from Cait Connolly and helping the field hockey program achieve success in the GNAC."

The Lasers are coming a 7-11 season in 2021, finishing with a 6-5 mark in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). The Lasers earned a post-season berth for the 21st consecutive season, including all 11 years field hockey competed in the GNAC. This year they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by the third seed Saint Joseph's College of Maine.
