LEICESTER, MASS. – Lasell College knocked off Becker College, 2-1 in non-conference women's field hockey action Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field. The win lifts the Lasers to 4-6, while the Hawks sink to 0-9.

After a scoreless first half, Becker got on the board 6:06 into the second stanza. The score remained tied until the 56th minute when Fabri tallied the game winner, sneaking a shot through the five-hole on Becker goalie Samantha-Jo Dilkes (Little Falls, N.J.).

Dilkes kept the Hawks in the game all afternoon, turning away 15 shots. Becker defenders Carolyn Steinbeier (Pembroke, Mass.) and Samantha Kelvey (Warwick, R.I.) chipped in with two defensive saves each. Lasell goalkeeper Cassie Aviles (Bellingham, Mass.) made four saves.
