Pratt & Jannuzzi Honored by the NAC

Newton, Mass.--  Two Lasell College field hockey players were selected to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Conference teams for the 2009 season.  Tia Pratt, a junior midfielder from South Paris, Maine, was chosen as a member of the first team and Sara Jannuzzi, a junior defender from Glen, New Hampshire, was selected to the second team.

This is Pratt's third season as an All-Conference honoree, having been selected as the NAC Rookie of the Year in 2007, and as a member of the second team in both 2007 and 2008. This year, Pratt was selected for producing 21 points in the Lasers' 7-12 overall season.  Pratt scored one game winning goal of her eight total goals this season, tying for first place on the team in total season goals.  Her game winner was scored against Simmons College in NAC play, breaking a scoreless tie with the sole goal of the contest.

Pratt also proved to be one of the top distributors of the ball on the team, dishing out five assists during the 2009 season. In the NAC this season, Pratt is ranked 8th in assists (5) and points (21) and 9th in goals (8).

Over her three year career, Pratt has played in 56 total contests, scoring 16 goals and adding 16 assists.  She has 48 total career points and three game winning goals to date.

A first time All-Conference honoree, Jannuzzi had a breakout year offensively becoming the Lasers top point-scorer of the season with 24 total.  She scored eight goals, one of which was the game winner during a double overtime victory at Daniel Webster College.  In addition, the junior defender produced eight helpers this season as well as one defensive save.

Jannuzzi is ranked 3rd in the NAC in assists (8), 5th in assists per game (.42), 5th in overall points (24), 8th in points per game (1.26), and 9th in goals (8).

During the past three seasons as a Laser, Jannuzzi has played in 55 contests, scored 25 total points and picked up two defensive saves.
