Lasell Makes it three Straight with OT Win

Nashua, NH - Sara Januzzi's (Glen, N.H.) tip in off of a Tia Pratt (S. Paris, Maine) shot in overtime gave Lasell College a 2-1 victory over host Daniel Webster College in a regional field hockey matchup Tuesday afternoon, at Harvey Woods Field.  Jannuzzi's eighth season goal sealed the third straight victory for the Lasers, who now hold a 7-8 record.

Jannuzzi finished the contest with three points, after an earlier setup of Pratt for Lasell's first goal.  Pratt's tally was scored 30 minutes into the first period, giving Lasell a 1-0 lead which they held for 35 more minutes before the Eagles struck.

With 4:43 remaining in regulation, Sarah Twardowski (Buffalo, NY) forced overtime by tipping home a Kyla Palaschak feed for her first goal of the season.  Time ran out before the Lasers could regain control of the board, though just over two minutes were needed in the overtime to finish the contest.  Jannuzzi's goal was scored 2:03 into the extra stanza.

Lasell's Tiffany Potter (Rochdale, Mass.) made a fantastic debut in the Laser's goal, making six saves on the way to her first collegiate victory.  Sophomore defender Ainsley Wolfe (Derry, NH) aided Potter with one defensive save in the match.

Lasell returns to home action this weekend with games on Saturday and Sunday against NAC rivals Husson and St. Joseph's of Maine.  The Lasers face off with the Eagles on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. , and with the Monks on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
