LASERS BOUNCE BACK TO WIN

The Lasell College Lasers bounced back from a 0-1 loss on Saturday to beat Thomas College in a wet, rainy NAC competition on Grellier Field.  Lasell (4-5) outshot Thomas (2-6) by a margin of 22-13 in the game, which ended in a 4-3 victory for the Lasers.

The scoring started at the 7 minute mark when Meagan DeAndrade (New Bedford, MA) connected on her sixth season goal, with the assist recorded by Stephanie Jansen (Glen, NH).

The Terriers did not waste much time returning the goal, as Alexis Evans (Embden, ME) found Ali Kriegel (Winslow, ME) in position to tie the game at 1-1, only 5 minutes later.

Thomas then took the lead after an unassisted shot was scored by Brittany Moore (North Berwick, ME), and the Terriers entered the half with a 2-1 lead.

Junior Amy Lentini (Wilmington, MA) opened the second half with her first goal of the season, scoring unaided for the Lasers, to even the score once again.  The Lasers then went ahead with the lead when Jansen scored off a pass from Justine McComb (Bloomfield, CT).

The final Laser goal was tallied by Caitlyn Walker (Middlebury, CT) who was fed by Jansen once again.  Walker's goal marked the game winning goal after Thomas' Amy Miles (Waldo, ME) tapped a pass to Kristin Masessa (Montville, ME) who connected in the final 44 seconds of the contest, to finalize the game at 4-3.

With this win, the Lasers pick up their first North Atlantic Conference win.  The Lasers will play at Becker College on Thursday, October 2nd, at 4:00 p.m.
