LASERS FALL IN QUARTER FINALS

The Lasers fell to the Eagles of Husson College in the NAC quarter finals Wednesday afternoon, in Bangor, Maine.  The Eagles won their 6th straight game and advance to the semi finals after the 6-0 win.  Lasell is now out of conference tournament play, but will play one final match at Framingham State College to finish their regular season.

Husson's Krystal Doughty (Lisbon Falls, ME) put the Eagles on the board just over the 3 minute mark of the game.  Doughty took a shot off a penalty corner which was swatted away by Lasell's keeper Christine Thornton (Canton, MA), but Doughty rebounded her own shot and fired again to get a goal.

The second half belonged entirely to the Eagles, who broke out five goals more goals before the end of the game.  Lasell's Meagan DeAndrade (New Bedford, MA), Caitlyn Walker (Middlebury, CT), and Tia Pratt (S. Paris, ME) took turns challenging the Eagles goalie to close the scoring gap, but they were blocked at each try.

Thornton finished the day with 7 saves, while Amanda Miller (Fall River, MA) relieved Thornton in the second half, picking up 2 saves.

Lasell is now 7-10 this season with their final game at Framingham State taking place Thursday, October 30th at 3:30 p.m.
