Matt Sammarco

Matt Sammarco

Matt Sammarco will be entering his third season on the Lasell University baseball coaching staff in 2023-24. He serves as an Assistant Coach and the Recruiting Coordinator. He he last played for the Lasers back in 2015 and is excited to be back with old teammates Billy Uberti, Conor Cavanagh and Gary Trottier.

After graduating, Sammarco coached in the Futures League under General Manager Bill Terlecky, and later on coached in New York City at Trevor Day School. He spent three years with the Tri-City ValleyCats (Single A affiliate of the Houston Astros), starting within the clubhouse and later found a role in the front office. Sammarco is currently a Player Development Coordinator with Factory Athletics, assisting high school baseball and softball players. 

Sammarco received All Conference second team honors his senior year at Lasell, leading the team in batting average (.337), on-base percentage (.416) and hits (33).
