BSB: Lasers Suffer First Loss of the Season to Kenyon

Fort Pierce, FL - The Lasell Lasers dropped their first game of the season to Kenyon by a final score of 12-2. The loss drops the Lasers to 4-1 on the season, while the Owls are now 6-3.

The Lasers opened the scoring in this game, grabbing one run on a CJ Mills RBI single, and another run on an error, both in the second inning. But it was a short lived lead, as the Owls scored three in the third, one in the fourth, another run in the fifth, and five in the sixth. they would then end the game by scoring two runs in the seventh, giving them the 12-2 victory.

The only Laser to record multiple hits was Bryan Baumann, as he recorded two singles. CJ Mills had the only RBI for Lasell. Starting pitcher Darek Lallo was given the loss after pitching 3.2 innings and allowing eight hits and four earned runs. He struck out four and walked two. He was relieved by Tim Coakley, who went two innings, and allowed five hits and five earned runs. Coakley struck out three batter before being lifted for Ethan Bernardo. Bernardo went 0.1 innings, and gave up a run. The final pitcher of the game for the Lasers was Jason Giangrande, and he pitched one inning while allowing three hits and two unearned runs.
