Fort Pierce, FL - The Lasell Lasers continued their strong start to the season by defeating Gallaudet 15-3 on Tuesday. The win moves the Lasers to 4-0 on the season, while the Bison are now 6-12.

The Scoring began in the first, when the Lasers scored a run on a Matthew Bischof RBI single. But that was just a precursor of what to come next inning. The second inning saw the Lasers send 19 batters to the plate, scoring 14 runs on seven hits and three errors. It started with an Owen Caldwell single, after two consecutive errors brought home one run, Jared Whitby singled home another. A wild pitch brough in the third run of the inning before Connor Freitas walked with the bases loaded. The next batter was Bischof, and he was hit by a pitch to plate another run. An error kept the parade around the bases moving, before Caldwell hit his second single of the inning to score a run. After six consecutive batters going base by base, CJ Mills doubled home two runs. The Lasers would reload the bases with a walk, and another walk made it 10-1. A two RBI single from Tim Callahan made it 12-1, before Bischof reached base for the third time in the inning with a two RBI single of his own, giving the Lasers a 15-1 lead after two innings. Neither team would score again until the Bison plated two in the eighth, but it was too little, too late, as the Lasers coasted to a 15-3 win.

The Lasers collected 16 hits in the game, with seven hitters having two. They included Griffin Ferreira, Tim Callahan, Matthew Bischof, Ross Audet, Owen Caldwell, CJ Mills, and Jared Whitby. Jeremy Blackwood started on the mound for the Lasers, going five innings while allowing three hits and just one earned run. He picked up the win. He struck out two and walked two. He was relieved by Pierce Clare, who went two scoreless innings and struck out two. Next out of the bullpen was Ryan Spies, and he allowed two runs in a single inning of work, while also striking out two. The final pitcher of the game for the Lasers was Joseph Ford, who pitched a hitless ninth inning, also striking out two.
