Game 1 – Skidmore 8 Lasell 1

The Thoroughbreds got the scoring started in the first inning when junior Bredan O'Neill (Pleasantville, N.Y.) doubled home fellow classmate Jackson Hornung (Ashland, Mass.).

A Lasell error capped off the scoring in the sixth as Bourque came into score.

The Lasers clawed one back with their last at bats as freshman Griffin Ferreira scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of sophomore CJ Mills. That would be all Lasell could muster in the seventh as Skidmore took game one 8-1.

Game 2: Skidmore 15 Lasell 3

Just like with game one, Skidmore struck first in the first inning with Melillo scoring on a Bourque groundout. O'Neill added a second run for the Thoroughbreds in the first on an RBI single that brought home Hornung.

Skimore kept scoring the second with Melillo bringing home a run on a sacrifice fly to right. Hornung added a second in the inning with an RBI single. O'Neill singled home two more followed by Lang who brought home another two with his single to pull out to an eight-run lead after two innings.

The Thoroughbreds added one more in the third inning on an RBI single by senior Pascal Marcktell (Queens Village N.Y.).

Another crooked number was put up by the Thoroughbreds in the fourth inning, started with an RBI double by Bourque to bring Hornung home. Freshman Sam Kornet (Medfield, Mass.) made it two RBI doubles in the inning as he brought home Bourque. Kornet scored the third run of the inning as he came across on a fielder's choice off the bat of sophomore Jaden Torrado (Yonkers, N.Y.). Junior Owen Fitzhugh (Deadham, Mass.) brought home the final Skidmore run in the inning as he singled home Torrado giving the Thoroughbreds a 13-0 lead.

Lasell wasted no time chipping away at the Thoroughbreds' lead getting on the board when sophomore Ross Audet scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Ferreira. Freshman Vaun Larisa added a second run for Lasell as he singled home fellow classmate Tyler DiNezza.

Skidmore answered the Lasers by putting one up in their next at bats as freshman Andy Pelc (Whately, Mass.) double home Bourque.

Senior Briston Maynard (Lynn, Mass.) brought home the final run for the Thoroughbreds with an RBI double.

Lasell added one more on an RBI double by Larisa that brough home Ferreira but that would be the end of the scoring in the game as Skidmore took game two 15-3.

Sophomore Ameer Hasan (Lawrenceville, N.J.) got the start and win for Skidmore going five innings and only allowing one earned run. Hornung went a perfect three for three at the plate and scored three runs. Bourque and Marcktell also had three hits apiece. O'Neill led the Thoroughbreds with three RBIs while Lang and Bourque both drove home two.

Larisa went two for three at the plate while driving home two runs and threw a perfect inning in relief striking out two batters Audet and Ferreira both scored runs while Ferreira drove a run home as well.
