After Saint Michael's took a 2-0 lead in the top half of the first inning, Lasell responded with a four-run effort in the bottom half of the frame. During the surge, Bischof, freshman Griffin Ferreira, Mills and Martinez recorded one-run singles.

The Knights went back in front, 5-4, during the fourth, as Ulysses Luciano tallied an RBI double, Lanthier scored on a passed ball and Santos posted an RBI ground out, scoring Luciano. The Lasers responded in their half of the fifth and went in front for good in the inning. Mills crossed home with the tying run on an RBI infield single by Baumann, and then a one-run double to left by Martinez scored Baumann, giving Lasell a 6-5 advantage.

Freshman Vaun Larisa extended the Lasers' lead to 7-5 in the sixth, as he scored on a sacrifice fly to right by Ferreira. Baumann pushed the cushion up to three runs during the seventh, scoring an unearned run.
