Cross Country Competes in ECAC Regional
2011 ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships
The ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships were held on Saturday, November 5, at Mount Greylock Regional Middle School in Williamstown, Mass.   Nearly 100 institutions and 600 student-athletes from colleges all over the Northeast participated in the event which was hosted by Williams College and the ECAC. The Lasell College women’s cross country team performed well at the Championship coming in 24th among the 40- team race and finishing with a 2:15:45.00 total time.   
Senior Meghan Missett (Lowell, M.A.) covered the course with a seven minute mile pace and a time of 26:04 and just seconds behind in second and third place for the Lasers was freshman Amy Santella at 26:34 and sophomore Jessica Smith (Townsend, M.A.) at 26:38.  They were followed by senior Amanda Driscoll (Roslindale, M.A.) earning a time of 27:54, sophomore Solange Carpenter (Gorham, Maine) at 28:35 while Christina Annicelli (North Easton, M.A.) rounded out the Lasers finishing with a time of 30:02.
The Laser men finished with a strong performance coming in 38thout of 44 total teams with an average time of 32:02.  They were led by Freshman Kyle Northrop (Bellingham, M.A.) who was the first Laser to finish the 8k course with a time of 29:06.  He was followed by senior Raymon Donis (Raynham, M.A.) in 31:02; freshman Conor Devlin (Wellesley, M.A.) in 33:20 and right behind him was senior Grant Vantine in 33:33. Lasell’s senior captain Michael Isherwood (Warwick, R.I.) crossed the line next in 35.58.  Lasell finished with 1,086 total points.    
The team will wrap up their season on Saturday at the NCAA Regionals at Bowdoin College.
