NEWTON, Mass. -- Lasell University is proud to announce that the new gym floor has been installed in the Athletic Center, with the Laser women's volleyball team the first to use the floor with Friday afternoon's practice.

The Laser women will also be the first to compete on the new floor with the 2021 home opener next Thursday, September 23, with a home match against the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth beginning at 7 p.m.

The use of the Athletic Center gym will have restrictions for any teams or Lasell students and community members that will be using the facility:

                * Any food, drink, gum, or glass is prohibited.

                * All footwear must be dry.

                * No bags or backpacks allowed.

                * Proper closed-toe athletic footwear is required. No sandals or floor marking shoes.
