Major: Fashion and Retail Merchandising

Sport(s) played at Lasell: Soccer

Why did you decide to attend Lasell? The quaint campus, large fashion program and impressive soccer team.

Current Employer and Job Title: I work at the nonprofit, Catie’s Closet, as a merchandiser

Tell us about your job. What do you like most about your current role? Catie’s Closet give students, who are experiencing poverty, access to clothes and toiletries right in their own school. My favorite part about this role is filling school closets with essential items that students wouldn’t otherwise have. I love how big of an impact clean and trendy clothing can have in a students’ life.

How did your experience at Lasell help prepare you for what you are doing today? The fashion program at Lasell taught me everything I need to know about merchandising. All of the hands on classes and projects like the annual fashion show gave me invaluable experience that I got to carry into my career.

What advice/insight do you have for Lasell alumni and current student-athletes interested in your career field? For student-athletes interested in fashion merchandising I would suggest using as much time in the off season to get involved in relevant clubs and internships. It’s not only a great resume builder but it also provides real experiences you can’t get in a classroom.

Looking back on your time as a Lasell student-athlete, what is one of your favorite memories? Most of my favorite memories are on the soccer field with my amazing teammates and coaches. We had so many fun experiences traveling together and doing the same rituals each year.
