The women's cross country team competed in the James Early Invite at Westfield State on Saturday. Coach Biello said, "The competition was fierce, but the squad still ran some great times and put out some great efforts today."
Other finishers for the women included Hanna Babek at 26:37.36; Emily Varga came in at 26:55.63, Eftihia Fotos finished with a time of 30:11.18 and Savannah Teixeira ran a PR with a time of 34:41.73. The team finished 23rd out of 25 teams.
Effie Fotos had this to say about her team's performance. "It was a tough course but we were all physically and mentally prepared. I did my best and am happy with my results and proud of everyone else on the team."
Next up for the team is the GNAC Championship on 10/29. The race will be hosted by St. Joseph's ME in Standish, ME.
